The Jack Nicklaus-designed Old Works Golf Course in Anaconda opens its clubhouse doors today, Monday April, 5 to tee off another season on the links.
It's been a busy few months for the club as management is ready to introduce some new initiatives focused on making golf more affordable, while also providing greater access to the youth of southwest Montana.
"Probably the biggest thing we've done is drop our rates on our twilight pass to $320 an individual, and also we're going to promote junior golf this year. Any adult paying to go play the three practice holes, kids will play free after three o'clock daily. And then we're looking to roll out some other junior programs to actually get them on the full facility during the course of the year," Director of Golf and general manger Daniel Kane.
A highly regarded course, Old Works was ranked as the number one public golf course in America based on price by Golf Digest magazine in 2009.
